Parts Alliance wurde an Uni-Select verkauft
Die Parts Alliance Group, einer der führenden Teilegroßhändler in Europe wurde vom Private Equity Besitzer HgCapital an Uni-Select verkauft. Uni-Select ist ein börsennotierte Teilegroßhändler aus Kanada.
Uni-Select ist Martführer für Autoersatzteile in den USA und Kanada. Uni-Select hat ein Großhandelsnetzwerk mit 14 Zentrallagern und 270 Niederlassung. Uni-Select beliefert 1.100 unabhängige Großhändler. Mit 3.000 Mitarbeitern macht Uni-Select eine jährlichen Umsatz von 1,2 Milliarden US-Dollar.
Seit 2012 ist die Parts Alliance Group mit 10 Akquisition stark in ganz Europa gewachsen. Die Parts Alliance Group betont, dass es für ihre Kunde nichts ändern wird. Das bestehende Managementteam wird weiterhin das Geschäft betrieben. Peter Sephton, CEO von Parts Alliance wird sich dem Managementteam der Uni-Select anschließen und President für das gesamt europäisches Geschäft fortsetzen.

Die Geschichte der Uni-Select ähnelt der von Parts Alliance. Uni-Select wurde im Jahr 1968 von 12 Teilehändlern in Québec, Kanada gegründet. Alle 12 haben sich zu einer Einkaufskooperation Autoersatzteile zusammengeschlossen und ist nun ein Unternehmen an der Börse in Toronto.

HgCapital investiert im Jahre 2012 in Parts Alliance Group. Im Laufe des Investitionszeitraums hat sich die Gruppe durch eine Reihe von HgCapital geführten Akquistionen erweitert und hat nun eine Gruppe von 13 Teilehändlern (von denen 10 im Besitz von Parts Alliance sind). Dabei erwirtschaft Parts Alliance ein Umsatz von £ 450 Millionen. Zu den Kunden zählen unabhängige Werkstätten, Vertragswerkstätten und Flotten. Dabei beschäftigt die Parts Alliance 2.900 Mitarbeiter. Die Parts Alliance ist in den letzten Jahren zu einen der größten Aftermarket Teilegroßhändlern in Europa geworden.
Der Verkauf von Parts Alliance stellt die dreizehnte Realisierung aus dem HgCapital 6 Fund (2009) dar, die nun insgesamt realisierte Renditen von 2,3x und 24% Brutto-IRR erzielt hat. Der Fonds hat nun 130% der ursprünglichen Investition zurückgegeben. Dieser Verkauf folgt den erfolgreichen Ausgängen von Zenith (2,9x / 47% IRR) und QUNDIS (3,5x / 30% IRR), die Anfang dieses Jahres abgeschlossen wurden, und eine Reihe weiterer Realisierungen von HgCapital 6 werden im Jahr 2017 erwartet.
